Latino Leadership Alliance weighs in on Roselle Park incident

With Roselle Park officials appearing to stonewall, the NJ Latino Leadership Alliance is asking for an independent investigation of Monica Montoya's June 20 arrest after helping an officer at the scene of a traffic accident.

Today's Ledger quotes Dr. Jose Adames, director of the group's Union County chapter --

"Given the disturbing pattern of anti-Latino sentiment being expressed by some police departments in this state, we have no alternative but to call for the New Jersey attorney general to review this case and denounce this type of behavior by local police..."
