Smoke clears on Gannett's Courier move

The other shoe has dropped.

Jeff May writes in today's Ledger business section of the further plans Gannett has for the now-combining Courier and Homes News operations --

• Combining the two news operations in one building
• Selling the Bridgewater Courier building
• Merge the advertising sales force
• Work together on 'big story' projects

My two posts on Wednesday and Thursday looking at the developing story were focused on Plainfield, and worried about community coverage by a staff that is already stretched pretty thin.

Gandhi seems to promise there will be no deterioration, but we'll have to see how this develops.
