Green dry cleaning? Maybe it's about time.




Organic dry cleaning? Sort of.

Turns out those who grab the club soda when there's a spill that threatens to stain have it right.

It's the carbon dioxide that helps do the trick.

And that is behind a technology that is going to revolutionize how your clothes get dry cleaned. California, ever the leader, will be switched over by 2011.

The solvents currently in use (called PERC), is carcinogenic and a hazard as it evaporates and gets into the environment.
