Breaking: Police investigating rash of car break-ins

There were at least ten car breakins over the weekend in the Sleepy Hollow area.

Police are investigating the incidents, some of which involved slashing convertible roof tops.

A reader has also reported two breakins on Kensington Avenue between Watchung and Park Avenues (see comment on "Mini-wave of violent crime Friday night").

Please observe the minimum precautions and do not leave valuables in plain sight in your vehicle overnight.

I heard that there was a "armed robbery" in the Van Wyck Brooks section, sounded like a home invasion. Have you heard anything about that?
