Invitational photography exhibit at Plainfield Public Library

Three outstanding area photographers will be featured in the Plainfield Public Library's first invitational summer photography exhibit, which opens Saturday with a reception in the Library's Room Two Gallery.

Paul LeGrand, William Monroe and Jackie Schnoop have all won multiple awards in the Library's annual Plainfield photography shows, where local amateur and professional photographers are urged to submit photos on a theme announced in advance for inclusion in the Library's ongoing photographic record of Plainfield daily life.

According to Library Director Joe Da Rold, the three have been invited based on their consistently high quality of work. The show will feature twelve images by each photographer, most of which have not been exhibited before, covering cityscapes, landscapes, florals and urban portraits.

The exhibit will be available for viewing during regular Library hours until September 30.

Entries for this year's sixth annual Plainfield Photography Contest can be submitted after August 1, on the theme 'Plainfield On The Go'. Entries in the contest will be displayed in November and December. Information for those interested can be found on the Library's website here, or by contacting Jeff Wassen at (908) 757-1111 x136.
