Sharon's days dwindle

Robinson-Briggs' time in office drawing to a close.

Plainfield Mayor Sharon Robinson-Briggs' days are numbered, as everyone knows. And dwindling.

Many readers have asked (actually, pestered is a better word) for a countdown clock. Today, I accede.

Frank Sinatra was both right and wrong in his 1965 rendition of Kurt Weill and Maxwell Anderson's classic 'September Song', originally introduced in 1936.

Right in noting 'it's a long, long time from May to December' but wrong in asserting 'one hasn't got time for the waiting game' (see full lyrics here).

Truth is, Plainfielders have time for the waiting game, and they'll find it every day from now until January 1st in the right-hand column of Plainfield Today.

Whether you're looking forward to wishing Sharon farewell or to welcoming a new and brighter day for Plainfield (or both!), you can check it out here.
