Snow may cause delay of one-seat ride inauguration

The RVC promotional effort includes dropping off
a handful of these informative signs at Mayor Mapp's office.

Plainfield may see winter's final(?) prank played on New Jersey Transit's one-seat ride inauguration, scheduled for Monday.

The Ledger made a passing reference in a weather item posted late Friday evening that the snowstorm, which may drop as many as 10 inches of snow on Plainfield and other communities along the Raritan Valley Line, could force NJT to adopt its 'enhanced weekend schedule' which would scotch plans for the one-seat ride launch.

Mayor Mapp, members of his cabinet and the City Council were to participate in the launch with a photo op as they boarded the 9:05 AM train on Monday morning.

If the schedule is changed, there will be no 9:05 train and no launch.

Stay tuned.
