Adventure volunteerism in Nepal discussed at Library tonight

FreeWalker's website banner says it all.

FreeWalkers members Paul Kiczek and Sydney Frymire will speak this evening at the Plainfield Public Library about "trekking" in Nepal.

"Trekking" is a form of adventure volunteerism where participants spend time walking through a foreign country -- in this case, Nepal -- learning about the country's history, people and geography, while at the same time taking part in volunteer in several humanitarian projects currently under way.

Nepal is a mountainous country, but this trek is listed as a "moderate trekking experience" for people in good shape.

All are invited to come out and learn more about trekking, Nepal and Freewalking, Inc.

The talk is in the Anne Louise Davis Meeting Room this evening, and starts at 7:00 PM sharp. The Plainfield Public Library is at Park Avenue and 8th Street and is an accessible facility. For more information about FreeWalkers, visit their website here.
